Awards were presented to ECRs at the Wiser Healthcare National Meeting based on competitive publication pitches and for best presentation at the meeting.

Best Quantitative Publication - Sweekriti Sharma!

Swee’s pitch on an RCT paper published in JAMA Network open, and co-authored with fellow ECRs Dr Jolyn Hersch, Dr Christian Longtin, and Jeremy Chang!

Best Other Publication Pitch (it was a tie!) between Deonna Ackermann & Dani Muscat

Deonna Ackermann’s pitch was for her in-press JAMA Dermatology paper co-authored with fellow ECRs Ellie Medcalf, Dr Jolyn Hersch, and Karen Bracken.

Danielle Muscat’s pitch was for her paper published in the BMJ Evidence-based medicine examining health literacy demands in low-value care contexts.

The *New* Prof Alexandra Barratt Award - Persistence for the most Difficult Publication Award - Gemma Altinger

This inaugural award, named for founding Wiser Exec, Prof Alex Barratt, was presented to Gemma Altinger for her recently published JAMA Network Open paper!

The *New* Prof Paul Glasziou Outstanding Presentation Award for Best ORAL presentation - Priti Kharel

This new presentation award, named to honour founding Wiser Exec, Prof Paul Glasziou, was presented to Priti Kharel for her presentation entitled: Melanoma overdiagnosis discovered through central pathology review in the MEL-SELF Randomised Control Trial.
