Dr Gemma Altinger Awarded Sydney Health Partners Musculoskeletal Clinical Academic Group Outstanding Publications Award!

Her recent study published in the Journal of Clinical Epidemiology: Text message incentives increased patient-reported outcomes survey response in emergency care: SWAT findings

The award recognises outstanding original work led by early- and mid-career researchers that has the potential to improve musculoskeletal health and support the translation of evidence into clinical practice, health services, or policy.

This study was a highly collaborative effort, and Gemma is grateful to all co-authors and collaborators who contributed to the work. The findings demonstrate that simple, low-cost behavioural strategies can improve patient-reported outcome survey response rates in emergency care settings, helping strengthen the quality and completeness of research evidence.
