Prof Tammy Hoffmann appointed as a 2026 Spinoza Visiting Professor by the Amsterdam University Medical Centre!

Tammy was appointed as a 2026 Spinoza Visiting Professorship by the Amsterdam University Medical Centre, for her research in evidence-based healthcare, shared decision making, and appropriate care. As part of this, she recently spent a week in Amsterdam where she delivered the Spinoza lecture and other presentations and met with various organisations that have an important role in facilitating national priorities such as appropriate care, evidence- based care, and shared decision making. These included ZonMW (national research funder), the National Healthcare Institute, the Knowledge Institute of the Dutch Association of Medical Specialists (who produce the 600+ guidelines used throughout the country), and the Dutch Patients’ Federation (which represents >200 patient organisations).
